Randy Scott

A RLEEF Donor Story

Randy & Renee Scott

For Randy Scott, each day is an opportunity to improve the experience for his customers. As the owner and operator of the Chick-fil-A restaurant in Hagerstown, Maryland, he embodies the spirit of service in everything he does and in the way he trains his employees. He even named his LLC “Blessed 2 Serve.”

This same philosophy led Randy and his wife, Renee, to make a multi-year commitment to the Resident Life Enrichment Endowment Fund (RLEEF) at Homewood. RLEEF helps to provide exceptional experiences for residents that they wouldn’t be able to find anywhere else. The Scotts made the final payment on their pledge in 2021.

“It’s such a joy to be affiliated with Homewood and to know that our RLEEF giving is being used to bless people there,” they said. “Living is more than food and lodging; it’s experiences and relationships in a caring community. We’re excited to be part of that!”

Randy’s involvement in the community extends beyond Homewood, where he serves as Chair of the Homewood at Williamsport Board of Directors, on the Board of Trustees, as well as on the Foundation Board. He is involved in a number of other organizations including United Way and Leadership Washington County. In 2019, Randy was recognized as Business Person of the Year by the Washington County Chamber of Commerce.

Recently, Randy has been lending his expertise to help Homewood review the practices and technology used to provide service in our campus dining rooms.
